What are the software requirements?
The PC requirements are relatively low. BLADE only requires a CPU that supports the AVX instruction set and a 64-bit Windows OS with Windows XP or newer to ensure that all functions can be run normally. CPUs that support the AVX instruction set: Intel Core series; Intel Xeon series; AMD Ryzen series. Bottom line, most standard baseline PC’s will work. Tablet computers, like the Microsoft Surface, may not work if they don’t support AVX instructions sets. Unfortunately, BLADE is not compatible with Mac computers.
Why is my plotter cutting random numbers, letters, and hieroglyphics?
Likely, what is happening here, is the programming language on the plotter somehow got changed. BLADE uses HP-GL (Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language) which is the most popular language for plotters and printers. Graphtec plotters support HP-GL and GP-GL (Graphtec Plotter Graphics Language). Simple fix: Just need to switch the setting on the plotter to “AUTO” or HP-GL. Recommend keeping on AUTO. Image below is for a Graphtec FC9000.
Can I connect to my plotter using WI-FI?
For security purposes, WI-FI is not enabled.

Contact BLADE support. They will “unbind” the software. Then, the software can be added to your new computer.
